The woodchuck’s diet and habit of burrowing make them a serious nuisance around homes and gardens.

Woodchucks have short legs and a bushy tail, and are from 16 to 26 inches long. They have two coats. The first coat is dense and grayish-colored. This is topped with a layer of coarse fur that gives the animal a frosted look.
