Tree Crew – Ground Technician

Warner’s Outdoor Solutions is looking to grow our team! We have multiple positions for people who love the outdoors and want to learn more about the lawn care/landscaping industry. In our company, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our managers to get hands-on experience with not only the lawn care industry, but also landscaping, irrigation, and tree care.

Job Description:
• Work with the current tree crew and managers, completing daily lists and tasks
• Work efficiently doing various outdoor tasks, including tree/shrub trimming, tree/shrub removal & stump grinding
• Use different equipment/machines, including chainsaws, pruners, shrub trimmers, mini skid steer loaders, skid steer loaders, etc.
• Communicate effectively with customers, crews, and office personnel
• Ensure the proper care and safety operations of equipment
• Drive work trucks to different work sites throughout the metro area

Job Requirements:
• A valid driver’s license is required
• Previous tree care experience is required
• Able to walk up to 5 miles per day
• Can lift 50 lbs. in and out of trucks 50 times per day
• Ability to carry up to 50 lb. tree limbs from drop zone to chipper
• Okay working outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, sun/heat, and cold

Compensation:
$22-$27/hr, depending on experience and ability to drive our vehicles.
The normal schedule is typically 8-6 (10-hour days), 4-5 days per week, with weekends when it rains, during the busy season, or based on the climbing arborist’s availability. Overtime is available depending on the demand.
During the winter months, we provide snow removal to our customers. We plow both commercial and residential properties. Hours in the winter months are based on when it snows.
